Once upon a time, I fell asleep on the wrong subway at New York City, ended up on Coney Island, and walked alongside someone I am 100% sure was sent directly from God, because he, or it, knew that, and knew how, I was living my life incorrectly recently prior to us meeting, and he, or it, taught me a moral lesson about that very specific thing. Our hour long conversation was on the history of Coney Island, and nothing even remotely similar to the end of the conversation.

“Now… I have to ask you… why did you trust to walk with me?”

This is obviously a much longer story that I will tell if you’d like. But the point is…sadly…things like this don’t happen as often as they used to. Am I getting older? Is the magic dying? Or am I just not given the opportunity to have these experiences of mystery, love, and life lessons right now, given all the working that I do?

I miss New York City. I miss freedom. I miss travel. I miss talking to the homeless. I miss Seth. Seth…my most recent grand life lesson up in Seattle. Thank you for your perspective, insight, and kindness. I hope you are alive and well.

I will wander again.
