Again I’ll say, everything happens for a reason.
Everything.
And you may find out that reason within seconds or minutes or days, but sometimes it may take months or years.
But when you do find out that reason, it will be all the more worthwhile that you went through the hardship that you did to be able to give a purpose to something that happened.
From point A, the event, to point B, the reason, we have a road to travel, and only God knows how long that road really is. And, sometimes, it’s for the most part straight, possibly a couple bends here and there, but you make it there easily without anything burdening you. Other times, it’s a rocky, uphill, broken up piece of unpaved cement.
We choose the road we want to walk on. If you truly believe in that point B existing, then feel safe in knowing that the path does have a defined end, and whether you choose to take the paved or unpaved road, you’ll make it there either way.

And there you’ll find your reason.

Some of our broken minds though, they seem to always take that broken up path. Because it just makes sense to, doesn’t it? We don’t take it because we want to, we take it because that’s what we feel we deserve, because that’s who we are, and because that’s what our mind is telling us to do.
But to those people, I say,
Congratulations.
Because you’ve probably hiked a hell of a lot more than many others around you, and here you are still standing, and still moving up those bumpy paths.
Everyone at some point has these uphill battles, and it’s our duty as humans to help each other out during them as much as we possibly can. We have to make those paths less hard to walk on, and in turn less hard on our minds, for each other and for ourselves.
Some people may not be accepting of that help though, and that’s fine. Independence is a great thing.
But what they may not know, and an even greater thing, is that we may have been there before. And we may know just the right thing to pave the ground they walk on.
The greatest time to find your reason for something happening is when it falls on the path of someone else’s journey to their own.
Because there you are, at your destination, mentally and emotionally exhausted, yet proud of yourself for knowing that the reason you had to walk that path was to give another person crossing your way the strength and the courage to keep moving forward.
And there you stand, stronger than ever before, thinking,
I can’t believe all those years I felt lost actually meant something.
All those tears I cried actually meant something.
There was a reason…

There’s always a reason.
