It’s just so crazy how many emotions there are in the entire world.
Think about it…
Right now I’m reading about one girl’s horrific experience with a car accident, and I’ve felt these same feelings SO much:
“i don’t know if you’ve ever narrowly avoided a dangerous situation. but the alternate realities that could have come to pass keep running through your head. your mind understands that you’re ok, but it also can’t believe it. your body is screaming at you to do something, anything, because you have so much pent up energy and emotion, but there’s nothing to do. so you just sit there, existing, and you don’t get it. you feel a disconnect somewhere. there’s so many different realities that are happening, parallel to this one, so you’re just trying to comprehend it all.
so that’s my dilemma. i’m trying to match up my body and mind again. they’ve de-synced, and i need to line them up again. it’s been weird. this week will help me. i need to be back in routine, in familiar territory. only then will i be able to get back into the swing of things.”
I felt the same thing after my second accident, with the foggy roads and hitting the tree head on. Shouldn’t I be hurt? Shouldn’t I be scarred from this other than mentally?
But I wasn’t. I’m not.
My point is though, this is one single person that went through this and I’m getting so emotional reading it. There are hundreds of thousands of these same stories that have been told and have yet to be told and I want to read them all and empathize with every one of them.
There is so much to life for each one of us, and it is our job to connect with one another and share these experiences and cope with each other and give each other hope.
