These allergies… this loss of voice is about being all I can be with what I have. It’s about being appreciative of the things I’ve got. It’s about not stressing out over the little things in life and giving it my all anyway. It’s about believing that it will be alright, no matter what, and no matter what struggle anyone is facing, there will be sadness and there will be happiness, and there’s no way around that. Optimism is key.
Everything happens for a reason. You’ve got to believe that with all your heart or life would be so dull and without meaning. Imagine if God (or whatever you believe) stole my voice only in an effort to tear me down and make me feel like hell for a week. But no. There’s a greater purpose. And that purpose is to teach me that there are more important things in life than this. And I’m seeing Cartel and Mayday Parade tomorrow again, voice or not.
“I’ve got life, I’ve got love, I’ve got faith and that’s enough.”
