Respect.

There’s some absolute trash in the quad at Slippery Rock right now, some guy ranting about Jesus and the gospel.
Yes, I am a strong believer in God and Jesus and The Word, but this makes me so angry. Yes, He says to share and spread the Word. HOWEVER. Times have changed. I’m sure 100% of the people here in America had heard of Jesus before, and shoving it down people’s throats is what makes atheists and believers so divided these days. Same goes for atheists slamming science and facts down my throat.
If you want to go to a youth group or church service and give your opinions on the subject there, then fine, do it! But spreading your beliefs on people that already have a set of beliefs whether they believe in Jesus or believe in nothing isn’t getting you anywhere.
Because there’s a difference between teaching those who want to learn more, and SHOUTING IT ACROSS THE ENTIRE CAMPUS.
Like a wise girl once said, your lifestyle should affect no one but yourself. It’s your choice the way you want to live, it’s your choice what you want to believe. Don’t let anyone change you. Change if YOU want to change.
Atheists, I welcome you into my life. Fellow believers, I welcome you into my life. Respect is received if respect is given, that’s all I ask.
