Everybody has struggles that they have to go through during their life. Struggles, disabilities, handicaps, physical or mental conditions, just basically, things that make our lives harder, is what I’m trying to say here.
Fortunately, we have cushions that make these conditions more bearable. For example, a deaf person has sign language. A person hard of hearing has a hearing aid. A soldier that lost a leg in war has a prosthetic. A child that comes from a home of abuse, may be afraid to tell others, but has that special friend that he or she can always go to in times of trouble.
I just happen to be gay. It’s not a condition, it’s not a handicap, or an illness, it’s not a mental problem or something I have to change. It’s a struggle at times, but this is the way I am, this is the way I was born and made to be, and I have to live with it, just like a person born deaf or blind have to live with their problems.

And I’d say I have it pretty darn good compared to someone deaf or blind.
I’m not saying this to try to make a bad comparison, I’m just saying this speaking to all those that may not like yourselves, or even hate who you are, because of who you are:
Wouldn’t you agree that you have it good, compared to something another person
may have to go through in life?
Are they not happy?
You can be happy.
After you realize this, after you learn to accept yourself, you WILL, be so much happier.
Because just as someone with a disability or terminal condition, there’s no changing it, you just have to live with it.
And if being gay is the worst you have it, congratulations. You have the best cushion of all. Because, once you find that somebody to Love, and to Love you back, you finally know, that you have a purpose in someone’s life. You have a reason to live. Better yet, you have a reason to live this way, knowing that somebody is miles and miles away, thinking constantly of you, and only you.
“To know that one life has breathed easier because I have lived this is to have succeeded.”
Why are we born this way? Why do some of us have to go through this struggle?
Well here’s what I think.
We were all put on earth in order to change somebody’s life forever. And I think I was put on this earth to give a man hope, to give a man confidence, to give a man a reason to be himself, to give a man happiness as the person he was meant to be instead of the person he was hiding behind.
Why am I gay? Because we were all put on earth to fall in Love with somebody. I was put on earth to fall in Love with somebody. That somebody, for me though, just happened to be a guy.
Born to Love you.
Born to Love me.
Created, for one another.
So if one or both of us weren’t gay, that sure would be a bummer.
Good thing we both are.
Find a reason, find a purpose, find your Love, find your cushion. Because it’s out there.
